Introduction

When install a 7500N chassis in a rack that provides adequate clearance for removing front and rear components.

Arista 7500N Quick Start Guide states the Clearance requirements and footprint for switches.

7500R/R2 Line Card Clearance

Since Quick Start Guide mentioned clearance is only for front and rear side, we added more clearance information here in the left and right space for 7500R/R2 Line card as below:

Max width (when ejector open and pull out line card) 7500R/R2

The above 2 diagrams show the clearance of left and right in a rack  which is for linecard eject handle when the line card insert and pull out.

As a result, it needs 14cm clearance from the front of rack post, and 4cm clearance from the left/right side of rack post, and the 7500R/R2 line card max width is 52.6cm.

7500R3 Line Card Clearance

The below diagram indicates the 7500R3 line card clearance as below:

Max width (when ejector open and pull out line card) 7500R3

The above 2 diagrams show 7500R3 line card eject handle is longer than 7500R/R2 line card for 1.7cm, and the ejector open width is also wider 2.3cm per side.

As a result, it needs 15.7cm clearance from the front of rack post, and 6.3cm clearance from the left/right side of rack post, and the 7500R3 line card max width is 57.2cm.
