PTP Monitoring: Filtering

Description Since the introduction of PTP Monitoring feature[1], PTP is capable of recording recent metrics for offset-from-master, skew and mean path delay, and emits a syslog whenever one of the metrics exceeds a certain threshold configured through “ptp monitor threshold <metric> <value>”. Now, instead of emitting a syslog, the PTP agent will be able to drop the bad metric through “ptp monitor threshold drop”. This can provide relief in an environment where an unstable upstream master propagates ptp timestamps to the downstream PTP devices, in turn affecting downstream servers relying on the PTP time.
