Hi,

I would like to know if Arista EOS currently supports the ability to configure an Order (and Priority) when it comes to Port-Based authentication.

Specifically, the scenario that I’m thinking about (and that I would like to implement with the Arista Campus CCS-720XP-48Y6-F platform) would be having MBA performed in the first place on some ports (due to internal company contraints) and, if not successful, and only then, attempt 802.1x.

MBA authentication and Authorization would be perfomed against Cisco ISE (vers. 2.7).

I have checked the EOS Central Blog

https://eos.arista.com/eos-4-24-1f/802-1x-on-arista-switches/

However this use case doesn’t seem to be covered there.

Thank you in advance for your feedback on this.

Best Regards

Hi Carlo,

We have a feature called MBA Fallback that will be supported in our next EOS release EOS-4.24.3F which is expected to release soon (tentatively within the next few weeks). However, this may not be what you are looking for and hence would request you to reach out to your Account team for more details. Thanks
