I can not install arista.eos but I can install other arita roles like interfaces, mlag.
Here is what I did. Could anybody help me out? I appreciate your time.
[root@localhost ~]# ansible-galaxy install arista.eos
– downloading role ‘eos’, owned by arista
[WARNING]: – arista.eos was NOT installed successfully: – sorry, arista.eos was not found on
ERROR! – you can use –ignore-errors to skip failed roles and finish processing the list.

[root@localhost ~]# ansible-galaxy install arista.eos-interfaces
– downloading role ‘eos-interfaces’, owned by arista
– downloading role from
– extracting arista.eos-interfaces to /root/.ansible/roles/arista.eos-interfaces
– arista.eos-interfaces (v2.1.8) was installed successfully

We’ve deprecated arista.eos role long time ago (since Ansible v2.1)

Hi Tamas, I've used these roles but I'm unable to find the role that allows me to configure interface switchport 1 mlag 1 Can you please advise which role i need to use to get this done? Regards Shaun

Ansible roles have changed a lot recently. The new Ansible collections can be found here: and and are maintaned by RedHat.

I'd recommend using eos_config role as that can configure anything.

We're also working on some extra roles to ease the life of customers, please check our Ansible validated design repo for an example on how to build an EVPN L3LS fabric:
