Hello
Being new on Arista I have a small question.
Status of the project :
Part of my job is to deliver internet access has several customers in an incubator, however I must necessarily go through a network owned a incubator.
The incubator delivers me VLANS for each customer and I have a ARISTA DCS-7048T-A.

On my Arista I have two ports connected to a CISCO NEXUS (which belongs to the incubator).
So on the Arista I’ll have to configure two ports in trunk of VLANs.

However I have not found a way to make a limitation of bandwidth (upload and download) for each vlan customers.
Question:
Is this achievable on an ARISTA? And if yes what is the command to do?

Hi Mathieu,

Unfortunately, this objective cannot be achieved on 7048 platform. On other platforms, we support configuring qos policy map which lets you set policing parameters based on ACL.

We cannot classify traffic based on vlan tag, but if the traffic is routed for that svi, you can create an ACL to match that subnet. Apply a policy map inbound on the svi to set to a particular queue

switch(config)#class-map type qos match-any class1
switch(config-cmap-class1)#match ip access-group acl1
switch(config-cmap-class1)#exit
switch(config)#policy-map type qos policy1_in
switch(config-policy1)#class class1
switch(config-policy1-class1)#set traffic-class 3

On the egress ports you can configure shaping based on your requirements.
switch(config)#interface ethernet 3/5/1
switch(config-if-Et3/5/1)#tx-queue 3
switch(config-if-Et3/5/1-txq-3)#shape rate 4000 kbps

You can also add policing to inbound policy map to limit traffic at ingress itself.
