I am trying to run a playbook to collect the lldp neighbors of my switches. I am getting the following error,

FAILED! => {“changed”: false, “msg”: “cannot connect to device: Socket error during eAPI connection: timed out”}

Here is my inventory file,

spine-01 ansible_host=”ip address” ansible_port=20001 api_port=21001 ansible_os=eos

I am thinking there is something I am missing on the switch end. I just not sure what I am missing…

Any thoughts?

Hi Herminio,

Did you enable the api on your switch?

https://eos.arista.com/arista-eapi-101/

You should be able to access the switch via your browser.
