I configured vEOS on ESXI 5.5 and noticed there are only 10 network interfaces supported in ESXI. Is there any way to trick ESXi into providing more than 10 interfaces? I do not want to connect that many, I want to test some scripts with more than 10 interfaces.

I tried editing the vmx file manually but the device does not recognize the new interfaces.

Hi Ray – Have you contacted your VMWare engineer for assistance with this? There is no limit on the vEOS side, so you should be fine there.

Hi Ray,

As per the vsphere configurations maximum document you can have a maximum of 10 vnic’s per vm on esxi5.5. HTH
