Hi Trung.

By reading the command outputs you sent, it's not possible to nail down the issue.

However, one thing I can tell for sure is that to use 3rd party transceivers you need to reach out to your corresponding account team, and they will provide you with options. Needless to say, Arista only guarantees proper use of Arista transceivers, that have been properly programmed and quality assured.

On the other hand, for the case of the Arista transceivers you have installed, please reach out to either your assigned SE or to support@arista.com for further help.

Thanks,

José Reyes

Hi Trung,

Thanks for writing to this forum. From the output you shared, it looks like in many of the ports the transceivers are not present. In the ports where Arist SFP is present (Et32, Et35, Et36), the status is showing not connected. Could you let us know about the far end of the links, is that connected properly? What is connected there? What is the status that is showing at the far end? You can also perform a self-loop test, for example, connect Et32 & Et35 and see if the link comes up.

The ports, haveing third-party SFPs (Et1, Et3, Et30) are in an error disable state you can run the command 'show interfaces status errdisabled' to know the reason for the errdisabled state.

hello, I do  a self-loop test between Et35 & Et36 in this case, this is Arista qualified SFP transceiver and tested in other DCS-7050QX-32S without any problem. it seem that duplex and speed show "unconf" can I cannot change it to other state.

Hello Naveen Chandra,
I connect ET35 and 36 as self-loop test,
switch show status "notconnect" on that port and I dont know why, Speed and duplex show unconf and I cannot change it state too. transceivers and mpo cable tested in normal DCS-7050QX-32S and still work.

Hi Trung,

I read over your question as well as looked over the output and I can see that your 7050QX-32S is setting your interfaces with non-Arista branded transceivers to error-disabled and your Arista branded transceiver are non connected.

We can also see that the duplex and speed on all interfaces is unconf this isn't expected. (unless the output was gathered immediately after a reboot)

When you get a free moment if you could send use the output Naveen previously requested along with:

  1. show interfaces status (we would like to see if the status is still unconf)
  2. show interfaces status errdisabled (this will show us why the interfaces are errdisabled)
  3. show ver  (we will be able to see what EOS the device is running along with determining if the CPU sees the ASIC)

Thank You

Shawn Rogers
