Hi Guys,

I am trying to do a private vlan where the primary vlan forwards dhcp requests.

My current config is as follows:

vlan 50
name private
private-vlan isolated primary vlan 51
!
vlan 51
name public

interface Vlan51
no autostate
ip address 10.15.0.1/24
ip helper-address 1.2.3.4
!

Fundamentally I believe my configuration works in the sense that if I stick a static ip on an interface in vlan 50 I can reach the gw in vlan 51.
However dhcp does not seem to be forwarded.

I’ve also tried to add dhcp snooping and setting a helper ip on vlan 50 as follows:

ip dhcp snooping
ip dhcp snooping information option
ip dhcp snooping vlan 50

interface Vlan50
ip helper-address 185.101.32.206
!

However it does not work without the dhcp snooping and vlan 50 helper-address and it does not work with.

Any thoughts on what i’m doing wrong here?

thank you :)
