Hi

We are looking some way to export CVP event and telemetry data to external analysing systems, e.g. Elasticsearch. Necessary data would be like multicast, unicast route changes or IGMP events.

By using specific CVP APIs or telemetry browser we can look specific data situation at given time, but is there any way to “stream” or forward the data as it happens from CVP? Basically as it works between the switch and CVP.

We have tested getting the data directly from switch with openconfig, but as CVP collects all data from switches, it would be more efficient to get data from CVP than separate switches. Openconfig is also missing some key features like PTP. Beyond that CVP also has a limited storage for fast changing object, which makes it difficult to run long time analysis and trends.

Having data export / push function within CVP would solve the issues. Can this be done?
Thanks

Hi Veli-Matti,

We've opensourced our javascript websocket library, which should be helpful: https://github.com/aristanetworks/cloudvision/tree/master/docs
