Hi Expert,

i  have small query here to run Arista vEOS on Qemu or KVM . i wann use new image vEOS-lab-4.15.2.1F in LAb environment to test it.but confuse between available  bootloader which one to use for best result and in which scenario we can use different bootloader.there are 4 bootloader present at the moment.

Aboot-veos-2.0.8.iso

Aboot-veos-2.1.0.iso

Aboot-veos-serial-2.0.8.iso

Aboot-veos-serial-2.1.0.iso

above 4 which one is best and when i ca use other combination and what is default RAM size for vEOS 2 GB or 4GB

 

i hope expert here will answer to my query wth detailed.

Hi Praveen,

Due to issues on newer Qemu/KVM versions, Aboot 2.0.8 is recommended over Aboot 2.1.0.

The choice of Aboot-veos-serial vs Aboot-veos depends on whether you want output redirected to the serial console or the graphical interface. In general for Qemu/KVM I use the serial version.
