Hi,

I have some arista switches running on 4.16.6FX.

I am trying to run some python scripts but they are failing due to missing modules/libraries. How can I install 3rd party python libraries/modules in arista? I tried and pip install …. didn’t work.

jacob

Hi Jacob,

Have you tried an offline install?

You can use pip to download the package/dependencies locally on your machine and specify the python version used on the Arista switch (2.7.15 if not mistaken). Load the package on the Arista switch and perform a pip install on it.

https://pip.pypa.io/en/stable/reference/pip_download/

Take a look at the documentation.

Or you can just download the package directly, push it to the switch and pip install the compressed file
