The instructions save to deploy the OVF file but the VMDK comes back as no template file selected.

Thanks

Hi Ray,

Which ESXi version are you attempting to deploy to (via vCenter, or standalone)? Also, which CVP version are you attempting to deploy?

I’ve found that depending on version, you may need to try importing the OVA different ways (eg. via thick client or web ui).

Hi Tyler,

I’m having the same trouble as Ray. The point is that there is no OVA file available for download from Arista. So when you say, “…depending on version, you may need to try importing the OVA different ways…” But there is no OVA file available for download, only a VMDK file. To clarify though, I am using vSphere Web Client just like Arista documentation shows.

But this documentation states in Step 2: Select the OVA file from the local machine…
https://www.arista.com/en/cg-veos-router/veos-router-launching-vmware-esxi-60-and-65

Yet, when you go to Arista’s software download page, there is no OVA file available for download…
https://www.arista.com/en/support/software-download

Either an OVA file needs to be provided or the documentation needs to be updated.

Not every EOS version has a vEOS-Router OVA file. The OVA files are there under 4.20.5F and 4.21.3F. Have you tried those?

Where is the OVA or OVF files for 4.23? As of 11-18-19, there are none posted so I cannot install this VM. I checked all the other folders but nothing.....

Hi Robbie,

Thank you for writing to the forum. I was able to locate the OVA file in the folder "vEOS Router" in Software Downloads Page on Arista.com https://www.arista.com/en/support/software-download

As usual, you will need your login to view the contents.

Could you check that file and confirm if that is what you need?

Thanks,
