i have a arista 7050s and i have connect the management interface to a cisco 3750 and i can see the port is up in my 3750 but in arista side its down, here is the output:

Management1 is down, line protocol is notpresent (notconnect)
Hardware is Ethernet, address is 0000.0000.0000 (bia 0000.0000.0000)

and her is the output on console

any idea?

Hi Noc,

Thanks for reaching out.

Seems like Linux kernel reported an error when accessing the interface ma1.

Did we get a chance to change the cable on Management interface and check if it is up?

Did we issue shut and no shut on the management interface and check if Management1 is still down?


You can open a case with Arista TAC by dropping a mail to by collecting the below logs from the device:

bash lspci
bash lspci -v
show tech-support | no-more
show logging system | no-more

bash ifconfig ma1
