Hi

We have two Data Centers, one with Vxlan enabled and the other is non-vxlan.Multicast Application Server is in VxLAN DC with Gateway in Non-VxLAN DC(in vrf drag). The multicast client application on PC in non-vxlan DC is not working and ping is working. Please find attached the diagram.

Thanks

Hi Mohammed,
Your diagram contain an additional question "do we need to disabled IGMP snooping".
Yes, you do need to disable IGMP snooping on the Arista VXLAN VTEPs. Otherwise the VTEP consumes it locally, so you wouldn't let the remote network know about the desired group membership request.

Since you run 4.24 on 7050X3, note that with slightly more recent EOS code (4.25, available as EFT at time of writing, on the download page) supports Multicast EVPN, so you could carry L2 multicast with OISM (local routing optimisation), and even transport with underlay Mcast, rather than your current HER.
I would recommend EVPN, but even wit HER the multicast should work.

Check the igmp group everywhere, ensure the Mcast control-plane is established.

Regards,
Alexis
