When I do

sh agent IgmpSnooping qt

I get a bunch of stuff including

IgmpSnoopingGroupTimer Setting membership expire for group %s on %s for reporter %s. In membership: reporter %s firstReport %s lastReport %s expire %s state %s igmpVersion %s filterMode %s % ()

In my version of EOS 4.20.12.1M – the above log looks like the group, version and reporter variables are not being written to in the log messages – i.e. the message is being written literally – or am I going crazy?

Has anyone overcome this?

Thanks!

Hi Nik,

Thanks for reaching out to EOS central.

From the above content that has been pasted, I could see that the lines have been taken out from Qt file. The QT file will contain relevant internal function invocation happened at the time frame and the information residing under QT will be helpful for our Technical support and engineering team to debug the file. Also to note, not all the information residing under QT will be seen in logging buffer.

The logs that have been stored in the logging system or buffer is dependent on the debugging level. Please follow the below-mentioned article to set the appropriate logging level.

We would suggest you to raise a ticket with Arista Technical support(support@arista.com) in case if you are facing an issue with IGMP.
