Hi,

I have queue monitoring enable in my 7050X3 (T3) box.

On the interfaces I have something like: queue-monitor length thresholds 16382 8191

My logfiles are filling up with

StrataLanz: %QUEUEMONITOR-6-LENGTH_UPDATE: Interface Cpu tc 42 max queue length is 12952, drops on interface is 0
StrataLanz: %QUEUEMONITOR-6-LENGTH_UPDATE: Interface Cpu tc 42 max queue length is 15198, drops on interface is 0
StrataLanz: %QUEUEMONITOR-6-LENGTH_UPDATE: Interface Cpu tc 42 max queue length is 10145, drops on interface is 0

I wasnt aware that I had enabled queue monitor on the CPU interface, have I tuned my MMU buffers incorrectly? Or why is this appearing?  .. I have only applied mmu queue profiles on the ethernet interfaces.

Hi Niklas,

Thank you for the note. It seems someone configured this queue-monitor length to cpu and also the syslog interval which is default disabled for both cases.

This Syslog message is only an UPDATE message saying the cpu queue length, followed by drops on cpu interface 0

To disable both

Switch(conf)#no queue-monitor length cpu
Switch(conf t)#no queue-monitor length log

Sincerely,
