Hi,

We run some Arista 7020SRs and Cloudvision. CVP is configured to send emails on events. I use a few ports for testing equipment, and tend to get spammed by CVP emails when using these ports. Tried messing with custom event generation in CVP, but haven’t been able to stop it from emailing us about the test ports.

I want to tell CVP “Whatever events happen on ethernet 23,  ignore the events and don’t send an email about ethernet 23.” Is there an easier way to do this, maybe something in command line on the switches to have it not send queue monitor streaming for the test ports?

Hi Shaun,

Yes you can! in 2020.1.0 we have introduced interface tags in the event generation configuration menu: https://eos.arista.com/toi/cvp-2020-1-0/events/

You can tag events with interfaces you want/don't want to receive alerts for and then generate or ignore events for those.

Thanks,

Tamas
