Hello,

I was wondering, what sflow destination IP 127.0.0.1 presents?

switch itself or CVP?

#sh sflow
sFlow Configuration
——————-
Destination(s):
127.0.0.1:6343 (VRF: default)

Please advise

Hi Martin,

That's the switch itself as we're running the sflow server on TerminAttr on localhost on port 6343 (can be changed), which then streams the data to CVP. You can find more details in: https://eos.arista.com/enabling-traffic-flows/ and https://eos.arista.com/toi/cvp-2020-1-0/flow-analytics-beta/

Thanks,

Tamas

Hi Martin,

The destination 127.0.0.1 represents the switch itself. Terminattr agent that runs on the switch exports the data to CVP in GRPC format.
