Can’t seem to find an answer to this in docs so far, in the Tap Aggregation Manager GUI – what is the meaning of the icons which switch from green to yellow and back again. Seems reasonable to assume green means everything is OK – but what does yellow mean and expressly what does it mean if they keep switching back and forth between green and yellow?

Basically I added a second tap interface to a couple of tap aggregation groups and once the link was up this started happening.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Hi Greg,
The colour indicates whether the port is up and non-congested (green) or if the port is up and dropping packets (yellow). Red would indicate a port down. This provides you with a quick indicator that you are overdriving the Tool port with too much Tap traffic. You can also see this in the graphs and statistics if you click on the Aggregation Group and the “Tool” tab as well as the Port statistics itself.

Hope this helps.
