Hi guys, is there some way to read EOS release notes ?
We adquiered an used unit with EOS 4.19.1F.
Some co-worker for other company offered us EOS 4.21.5F version to upgrade our switch.
I would like to know if there are big differences / its worthy to perfom the upgrade … im worried about brick the box.
Any feedback about it would be wellcome.

Howdy, You need to have an active support contract to access EOS releases. Arista also doesn't provide support or licenses for switches bought second hand.

That being said, booting different versions of EOS is very low risk. The entire EOS image is a read-only SWI file, so it isn't possible to brick a switch by loading a different version of EOS. You can just ctrl-C into the aboot prompt and replace the SWI file.

Hi Leandro,

Thanks for writing in this forum. You can find the EOS release notes for any active/available EOS, in Arista portal "", under the support ---> Software Download page. To login to the portal, you must need an active support contract and valid credentials.
