Hello,

We are interested in using the vrf-lite functionality but cannot find too much documentation on Arista’s version of it.

Also was wondering if it is possible to route between vrf’s “within” the switch itself instead of having to use an external device as you would have to do with a Cisco.

Thanks,

Scott

Please see section 23.3.4 of The EOS User Guide (http://www.arista.com/docs/Manuals/ConfigGuide.pdf) for the documentation.

Currently, EOS does not allow routing between VRF’s, although this feature might be available in the future. For alternatives and any further more in-depth design related questions, I strongly encourage you to discuss this topic with the local Arista SE team which should be able to help you (one option for example could be using a loop cable between the VRFs). Depending on what the end goal is and what you are trying to achieve, there are most probably a couple of alternative options.
