Dear Arista friends:

Can we use 4 x 10GbE QSFP+ to 4 x SFP+ twinax copper cable
in one QSFP+ port of 7050TX2-128 to have a link to 4 ports SFP+ of 7150S-52 to have a link of 40 Gbps?

Hi Ronald,

That is indeed possible.

Typically, in such a case you would create 4 logical ports on a physical 40G port on the 7050TX2-128 side, and use 4 physical (and also logical) 10G ports on the 7150S-52 side.

On the 7150S series we also have a feature (Agile Ports) that allows you to group the ports such that you have 1 logical and physical 40G port on the 7050TX2-128 side, and use 4 physical 10G - but 1 logical 40G port on the 7150S-52 side.

Hope this helps,
