Hi Team,

Could you please advise on the same. As i stated in the question title, facing issue while login to the CV Portal.

Getting the pop up message when i am entering my credentials. My id is already added to the portal and i accessed it so many times. I dont know its due network related issue or any port needs to be opened in the backend.

“Failure – unable to add new entity”

Please advise.

Thank you for contacting us and reporting this issue.


First, can you check if all the components are running?  To do this, access the CVP via CLI and do:

cvpi -v=3 status all

If you see any of the components are stopped or not started you can start it manually with:

cvpi start <component name>

If the above does not correct it, we may need to dive in deeper and will need the following to further debug it:

cvpi debug

Please let us know if you were able to fix the issue as we haven't heard from you in a while.

If the issue still persists, then I would suggest you to reach out to Arista TAC and open a case.

We could be running into an issue with Kubernetes where it is unable to bring up a new container. To confirm the same, we can go over on a call with you and see the logs.
