512 SVIs as a rough guideline.

in worst case you think 512SVI is enough?

if we use 1024 do we face any issue? because it has has simple bgp sessions and ip transit with no special setup

The hardware is capable of 4000 SVI, but I think the 7050 was only tested up to 512.
Newer platforms are tested explicitly up to 4000 SVI and it's supported. So besides your switch, I wonder whether the software version might also impact how well it would scale beyond 512.

I suggest you simply test the SVI scale.

About BGP, it's a possible concern. How many sessions?
Even if each session is "simple", if you have 1000 of them then it can have a heavy load on the switch, especially if the peers are unreliable and flap a lot.

Can you detail your BGP scale ?

Thanks,
Alexis
