Hi

Whilst playing with arista switches, I could not find a way to disable arp suppression? The reason I want to deactivate it is for the windows machines that sent arp keepalives on the layer 2 domain. Enabling suppression can also cause windows cluster failover issues ?

Hi Shuja,

Your instinct is right: with EVPN ARP suppression, there's a possibility of false positives in cases where hosts/clusters rely on ARPs for failover or liveliness detection such as your use case.

EOS provides a knob to selectively disable ARP suppression/proxy for a list of IPs identified by a prefix list. More details on this feature is covered here:
