Hello,

In many EVPN design documentations, I recognized that always four spines are shown.

Is there any reason for this or would two spines in Arista fabric sufficient as well.

Please advise.

Thanks.

Generally speaking, the number of spines will mostly influence the level of redundancy and scalability (we can think about the spines as fabric card modules on a modular chassis). So, depending on your bandwidth requirements, you can add more switches to the spine layer. I would suggest discussing your requirements with your local Arista SE who should be able to help to evaluate the scalability for your environment.
