In my Arista CloudVision Wifi, I am trying to block a client from a specific SSID, Directly or using some kind of policy.

I didn’t manage to find it in the API or in the User Interface.

Did find other not as good options:

  1. Allow specific SSIDs, but if this field is empty all are allowed.
  2. Block client from all Access Points.

Is there a way to block a client from a specific SSID ?

Would appreciate your help

Hi Jehuda,

Thanks for writing to us.

On Arista Access points, you can allow/block specific clients per SSID by  "whitelisting/blacklisting" them.

This is present in the SSID settings on the CVW. Navigate to "Configure>SSID>Access Control"

You can enter the client MAC in the respective lists. By default , a maximum of 1024 clients can be added per SSID. This is supported on all ac/ax platforms.

Hope this helps!
