Hello everyone,

Does anyone have experince how much multicast throughput is supported by vEOS until the routing instance is running in trouble. Perhaps in conjunction with the configured virtuel CPU cores.

Arista vEOS
Software image version: 4.15.0F
Architecture: i386
Internal build version: 4.15.0F-2387143.4150F

Hi  Reinhard,

vEOS-lab is processing traffic in software/CPU, it should only be used for testing/lab purpose. Yes the forwarding capacity is directly related to the amount of physical processing resources that are allocated. You can normally expect throughput in the order of Kbps but not Mbps.

Regards,

Alexis
