Is there a way on Arista Switch/EOS to trigger an e-mail based on Syslog events (from show logging)? An example would be helpful.

– Arista DCS-7280SR-48C6-F
– Software image version: 4.21.0F

An example event could be:

%BGP-5-ADJCHANGE: peer x.x.x.x (AS 123) old state Established event HoldTime new state Idle
%BGP-5-ADJCHANGE: peer x.x.x.x (AS 123) old state OpenConfirm event RecvKeepAlive new state Established

Thank you in advance!

Hello Kalpesh,

Please check this link https://eos.arista.com/syslog-triggered-event-scripts/

This script monitors the tail of syslog and for any matching regex “expression” in the script sends an email to support@arista.com. This script can be modified to send email to you personal/corporate email address as well.

Let me know if this helps.
