Hi,

we developed an internal Application which is used to control the 802.1x port status at switch level for our CISCO based access layer.

The application is basically turning on and off 802.1x PAE authentication status at port level by means of a CISCO Proprietary PAE-MIB OID:

https://community.cisco.com/t5/network-management/802-1x-port-management-via-snmp/td-p/2723563

We are currently in the process of replacing our Cisco Access Layer with Arista Campus Switches (HW: CCS-720XP-48Y6-F, SW: EOS 4.23.1F).

Does Arista offer similar DOT1X PAE Mib Support for enabling / disabling 802.1x at interface level via SNMP SET?

I have searched through the ARISTA SNMP MIB Documentation

https://www.arista.com/en/support/product-documentation/arista-snmp-mibs

and unfortnately I wasn’t able to find any 802.1x-related SNMP MIB.

Does Arista support the IEEE8021x-PAE-MIBs ?

http://www.ieee802.org/1/files/public/MIBs/IEEE8021X-PAE-MIB-200910011650Z.txt

Thank you.

Hi Carlo,

Unfortunately, we do not support any SNMP MIBs for 802.1x ports. Hopefully, we might support this in the future.

Hope this answers your question! Feel free to contact our Technical Support- support@arista.com for any further concerns/queries.

Regards,
Lalitha Prasuna
