When authenticating/authorising an Arista device to a central TACACS+ server, what configuration is required on the server to support the request? Cisco devices use a service argument of “shell”, Juniper devices “junos-exec” – what does Arista use? What attributes are returned to the device?

We’ve generally been successful using the same setup we do for Cisco.  On the Arista gear, though, if you also have locally-defined usernames as a backup in case of TACACS+ failure, you would want to assign a role:

username admin privilege 15 role network-admin secret LetMeIn
