Does Arista support overlay IPv6 routing? If so, how to enable it ?
By default overlay IPv4 routing is only enabled.

CBM-ARISTA-7280R#show service vxlan status
Vxlan Controller Service is : stopped
Mac learning : Control plane
Resync period : 300 seconds
Resync in progress : No

Hi Monisha,

We do support overlay IPv6 routing in VxLAN from the EOS code version 4.20.5

I understand that the output for “show service vxlan status” shows “VXLAN v4 overlay routing” as the capability. However, the command to verify the same is currently obsolete.

Please find the below link to see the features which are supported in EOS,

https://www.arista.com/en/support/product-documentation/supported-features

Also, the configurations to enable an overlay IPv6 is very much similar to that of IPv4. Please find the below links for further details.

Hi Monisha, from your CLI output it looks like you are running EVPN as the VXLAN control-plane. EVPN IPv6 IRB is not currently support, this is roadmap item for EOS, please reach-out to your local SE, regarding timeframes.
