I want to ensure that my 7148SX runs valid, non-modified firmware. Unfortunately, I can’t download firmware for it in support center to replace current image with original one, and even I can’t find MD5 sums for original images.
Where I can find firmware checksums for EOS releases?

Hi,
The software and its MD5 are not available anymore.
Here is the MD5 on the image I have got:

#md5 EOS-4.13.10M.swi
MD5 (EOS-4.13.10M.swi) = 9e68432a60660e196e2366260546919a

Regards,
Alexis

Hi Andrii,
Is the MD5 matching what you get from your software image?
The previous MD5 check was done from a Linux or Unix system.

You can verify an image MD5 inside EOS itself with:

arista#verify /md5 flash:EOS-4.13.10M.swi
verify /md5 (flash:EOS-4.13.10M.swi) = 9e68432a60660e196e2366260546919a

Best regards,
Alexis

Hi Andrii,
Firmware checksums for EOS releases are available for supported EOS releases on the website under Support – Software Download – EOS – Select Appropriate Folder for active or support only releases – Select EOS version folder – MD5 and SHA512 checksum files are shown.

EOS 4.13 is no longer available on the website as it has reached End of Support. EOS for 4.13 was announced on April 1 2016 on the Arista Website at the location below:

https://www.arista.com/en/support/advisories-notices

The Arista EOS Life Cycle policy defines a 30 month lifecycle for each major release train. The EOS 4.13 software train will reach the 30 month timeline on May 27th, 2016. However, in order to support the DCS-7124SX switches until the end of software support date, the end of support for this release train has been extended by two months to July 30th, 2016. At that time, EOS 4.13 will be considered End of Support with no further official software support on this version from Arista.
EOS release follow the life cycle policy detailed below:
https://www.arista.com/en/support/product-documentation/eos-life-cycle-policy

Below is the MD5 checksum for EOS-4.13.10M.
so761…01:31:44#sh ver
Arista DCS-7148SX-F
Software image version: 4.13.10M

so761…01:33:26#verify /md5 flash:EOS-4.13.10M.swi
verify /md5 (flash:EOS-4.13.10M.swi) = 9e68432a60660e196e2366260546919a
